Kay Trimmer, CID, IIDA (Certified # 007893)

Kay S. Trimmer, the former owner of Interior Design/Kay Trimmer, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio is a nationally recognized healthcare facility interior designer. Her diversified work, from utilitarian office design to large open-landscape systems has earned her numerous awards. She is recognized as a teaching designer and has been requested to speak at college campuses as well as national design conferences.

Mrs. Trimmer is particularly noted in the design field for her original custom design work. As one of the Founders of the Symposium on Healthcare Design, an organization of designers and architects focusing on the trends and future of the healthcare environmental marketplace, Kay has provided many designers with a role model in this field. She has served as an advisory board member of this organization and was awarded a “Gold Plate” for dedicated design in healthcare facilities. Kay has served on the Leadership Council for the “Caritas” project. A March 2004 issue of Nursing Home Magazine featured Roselane ALF in Ohio as one of Kay’s award winning projects.

Mrs. Trimmer has worked extensively with architects and construction firms throughout her career and is recognized as a budget conscious designer. Her attention to detail, her unique approach to design, her in-debth research, and her versatility have established her reputation as a designer that creates environments to promote wellness.
